Blockchain technology innovation online poker Insta-Pok3r leads a new era of gaming
Recently, the blockchain gaming industry has seen a surge in funding, with over 20 projects successfully securing financial support from the beginning of 2024 to now, with a total amount exceeding $100 million. The integration of traditional gaming with blockchain technology is deepening, opening up new innovative paths for the gaming industry. Recently, a brand new blockchain game called Insta-Pok3r has garnered widespread attention in the industry. This game provides a real-time, secure online poker experience without the need for a trusted third party through encryption technology, and it is expected to have a significant impact on existing online poker games.
Insta-Pok3r is a decentralized online poker game system designed to address the trust and fairness issues present in traditional online poker. The system ensures the randomness and fairness of the cards by generating verifiable random shuffles. Although the output of each participant is private, it can be publicly verified.

The core technology of Insta-Pok3r includes a unique MPC protocol and a newly proposed Simplified Verifiable Multi-Identity Encryption (SVME). Before the game starts, the MPC server collaborates offline to generate a deck encryption arrangement based on Identity-Based Encryption (IBE) and produces proofs to verify the validity of the IBE ciphertext encoding. During the online phase, players can request their IBE decryption keys and use these keys to decrypt their cards, with the overall computation cost being relatively low.
The system's workflow is divided into two phases: offline sampling and online retrieval. In the offline sampling phase, the MPC server generates a secret sharing of random values, and through a series of operations, ultimately obtains a non-repetitive arrangement of 52 cards. Then, the card set is encrypted using a distributed SVME encryption protocol, and proofs are generated. In the online retrieval phase, players request to obtain the IBE decryption keys, keypers compute and aggregate these keys, and finally, players obtain the keys and decrypt their cards locally.
SVME is a key technological innovation of Insta-Pok3r that extends the concept of verifiable encryption, allowing encryption to be performed on a multi-identity basis while keeping the size of the proof constant. This means that even in cases of multi-party participation, verifying the validity of the encrypted content does not require excessive resource consumption.
The emergence of Insta-Pok3r poses a challenge to traditional online poker platforms. Unlike traditional platforms that rely on centralized servers and algorithms, Insta-Pok3r achieves true decentralization and transparency through blockchain technology and multi-party computation, greatly enhancing the security and fairness of the game.
The SVME and IBE technologies adopted by the system ensure the confidentiality and fairness of the cards before they are dealt. Only players with the correct keys can decrypt and see their own cards, while other players or third parties cannot access this information. At the same time, through technologies such as zero-knowledge proofs, the system can prove that the card distribution complies with the rules without revealing specific card information, thereby ensuring the fairness of the game.
Although Insta-Pok3r has made progress in addressing trust and fairness issues in online poker games, the system's performance and efficiency still need further improvement. For example, generating random shuffles and encryption processes require a certain amount of time and computational resources, which may affect the players' gaming experience. In the future, it is necessary to enhance system performance through optimizing algorithms and improving hardware performance to meet practical application needs.
