Abstract generation in progress

Cryptocurrency scammers are shifting to TikTok with a new campaign called "ClickTok," according to a report from CTM360. The campaign combines phishing scams and malware, targeting TikTok Shop users. They use fake ads and AI-generated videos impersonating celebrities to lure victims into accessing fake websites that steal information and distribute malicious applications. Over 10,000 fake websites have been detected. Although TikTok Shop operates in only 17 countries, users globally are targeted. Victims are asked to deposit cryptocurrency ( mainly USDT) for attractive discounted products. Additionally, upfront fee scam tactics also target participants in TikTok's marketing program. Scammers also reach out to victims via WhatsApp and Telegram, posing as TikTok partners to misappropriate assets.
