5 IC ecological projects successfully launched on SNS, opening a new chapter in Decentralization governance.
Recently, 5 projects successfully launched SNS in September and October, namely:
SNS (Service Nervous System) is an infrastructure that provides IC ecosystem projects with the ability to conveniently issue tokens and deploy decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). Any user holding ICP can participate in purchasing. By buying and staking project tokens, investors can take part in various governance decisions of the project, including system upgrades, smart contract upgrades, treasury fund management, and event creation. This participation essentially reflects investors' confidence in the project's prospects.
To successfully launch the project on SNS, it needs to go through two key stages:
The project's white paper and its token economic model must receive majority support from ICP stakers (i.e., neurons). In short, the project needs to be recognized by the ICP community in order to proceed with the token sale.
After the token sale ends, the amount of ICP raised must meet the project's pre-set minimum target.
Only after completing these two phases can the project officially launch on SNS. Subsequently, the project will transfer control to the DAO, and all raised ICP will be deposited into the treasury. From then on, all decisions, from system upgrades to treasury management, will be executed by the community through governance mechanisms.
