Curve community members proposed to terminate L2 development, causing controversy.

On August 4th, Curve community member phil_00Llama recently initiated a proposal suggesting to "stop all further Layer 2 development", recommending to maintain the already deployed L2, but to terminate any further development. He believes that L2 chains require the same level of maintenance work as the Ethereum Mainnet, but the returns are minimal (currently, the total daily income of all L2 chains is about $1,500.00). He also thinks that L2 technology develops rapidly and has a short lifespan, leading to significant operational pressure. He believes the development team should focus their efforts on more valuable areas. Currently, only one community member has commented on the proposal, stating "this proposal is very radical and deserves a more thorough explanation."
