Dare to trade. Dare to win.
Recently, I went through the end of a relationship and felt down. A fren jokingly suggested that I vent my emotions on a Blockchain platform, and unexpectedly, this suggestion brought about unforeseen results.
I chose the recently popular Caldera platform, which is an anonymous social network based on Blockchain technology. Surprisingly, the emotional experiences I shared on the platform not only resonated and interacted with hundreds of people, but also earned me over 300 units of ERA points as a reward.
Caldera is not a traditional Web3 project; it is a social platform that allows ordinary users to earn rewards through content creation. Its features include: users can speak anonymously to ensure privacy; content is permanently recorded on the Blockchain and cannot be deleted; the authenticity and interactivity of content are directly linked to score rewards, which may be converted into tokens in the future.
On Caldera, I recorded my emotional journey after a breakup:
On the first day, I wrote: "I deleted the contact information, but couldn't help adding it back, and then deleted it again. Now I feel a bit regretful..." This post earned me 50 points.
The next day, I shared a warm little anecdote: "On the third day after the breakup, the staff at the milk tea shop downstairs gave me an extra cup of milk tea, as if it were a consolation from above." This sharing earned me 40 points.
On the third day, I continued to record my emotional changes...
Through this experience, I unexpectedly discovered a platform where I can express my emotions while also gaining tangible rewards. Although the pain of heartbreak still lingers, the interactions and support on Caldera, along with the unexpected points rewards, have provided me with some comfort and new perspectives.
This experience made me realize that in the digital age, even personal emotional experiences can create value in unexpected ways. Although we should not overly focus on this value conversion, it does provide a new option for those who need to express themselves and seek support.
