Korea Web3 Hackathon: 500,000 HSK prize pool focuses on financial innovation

The developer conference to be held in Seoul, South Korea, will focus on the construction of the Web3 financial ecosystem. This three-day hackathon will take place from March 28 to 30, aiming to attract developers, innovators, and Web3 enthusiasts from around the world. The event features four main competition tracks covering key areas of the Blockchain ecosystem.

Competition Track Overview

  1. PayFi: Dedicated to developing cross-border payment protocols, physical asset tokenization, and AI quantitative strategies, aiming to build a standardized channel connecting traditional finance and Web3.

  2. Social: Focused on creating social communication tools, decentralized content platforms, or community governance models, aimed at building a dedicated social layer for large-scale user groups.

  3. AI Agent: Develop various AI assistants, such as on-chain information management, asset management auxiliary tools, or developer intelligent collaboration systems, to achieve the popularization of Web3 interactions.

  4. AI Infra: Develop VS Code plugins, data availability components, or build integration toolkits with mainstream AI frameworks to support ecological development from the infrastructure level.

Reward and Support Mechanism

The total prize pool for this event is as high as 500,000 HSK, with 6 award categories, including specific rewards for students. Award-winning projects not only receive generous cash prizes and long-term funding, but also gain guidance from professional mentors and have the opportunity to be deeply involved in the construction of the ecosystem.

In addition, the event site will provide participating developers with HSK token red envelopes as a form of encouragement.

Talent Recruitment Program

The organizers have launched a global developer recruitment program. Successful developers will receive HSK token rewards and exclusive NFTs. The selection pathways include:

  • Participate in the hackathon and complete on-site registration.
  • For registrants who cannot attend, the organizers will evaluate their GitHub profiles and examine their contributions to relevant open-source projects.

Ecological Cooperation

This event has received support from multiple local developer communities and projects in South Korea, focusing on areas such as PayFi, the tokenization of physical assets, and stablecoins. Currently, partnerships have been established with over 10 communities and projects. At the same time, a well-known digital wallet provider will also participate as a special sponsor.
